Welcome to my website. I hope your visit here is informative and helpful.
This page provides me with an opportunity to share a bit of information about myself, so here we go… I was born in Calgary, and with a few (scheduled) breaks, have lived here my whole life. I’ve been married to Marlene for over 40 years and we have three children and three wonderful granddaughters. My association with the housing industry started many years ago as a manager for new home builder. In 1978, I became a REALTOR® and haven’t looked back since! Making home ownership a reality for clients is very rewarding and I enjoy working with people to help make their housing dreams come true. In November 2007, I was appointed as a Councillor of the Real Estate Council of Alberta which is the regulatory organization that governs the Real Estate industry, the Mortgage Brokers industry the Property Managers industry and the Real Estate Appraisers industry in the Province. I’ve been very active in the Oakridge community for many years and also find supporting the Children’s Miracle Network through my association with RE/MAX very rewarding. RE/MAX is the largest contributing sponsor to the Children’s Miracle Network in Canada. Since becoming a national sponsor in 1992, RE/MAX has raised in excess of $6,700,000 for Canadian kids! In my “away from real estate life,” I’ve been an avid sportsman for many years, enjoying such activities as fastball, hockey, and football as well as a National level Softball Umpire. Like real estate, these activities require talent, dedication, tenacity, and a willingness to go the extra mile to make things happen! Since becoming a member of the Calgary Real Estate Board in 1978, I have had the privilege of serving in several leadership positions, including President of the board in 1995 and President of the board’s Charitable Foundation in 2004. My association with the foundation continues and I was pleased to be a co-chair of a fundraising campaign in support of an affordable housing development for low-income Calgarians that was completed in January 2008. I was honoured in 2005 to receive the Calgary Real Estate Board’s highest award, the T.W.H. Saunders Award for dedication to the real estate industry and the community; two areas for which I care very deeply.
